Who we are
IRIS Contemporary Space
We pride ourselves on being more than just a traditional art gallery.
IRIS Contemporary Space is an independent curatorial platform that creates exhibitions, collaborations, and projects across a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, digital art, and video Art.
Founded in 2021, IRIS has grown into a dynamic space for artistic exchange and experimentation, with ongoing programs in Tehran and Dubai and regular participation in international art fairs. Each exhibition is approached as a conversation, connecting artists, audiences, and ideas beyond borders.
Our focus extends from curating exhibitions and commissioning new works to offering art consultancy and collection-building services for collectors, designers, and institutions. We work closely with both emerging and established artists, helping them develop projects that reflect the complexity of contemporary life.
At IRIS Contemporary Space, art is not confined to walls. It is a living dialogue, a bridge between cultures, disciplines, and generations, where creativity finds its next chapter.
About The founder

Sahar Seyedjafar is an independent curator and art consultant, and the founder of IRIS Contemporary Space, established in 2021 between Tehran and Dubai.
Her work moves between curating, advising, and connecting, creating bridges between artists, collectors, and institutions, while constantly rethinking how art can reflect and reshape contemporary life.
With a multidisciplinary background in fashion design, architecture, and visual arts, Sahar brings a distinct sensibility to her curatorial practice.
Over the past decade, she has been deeply involved in art advising, sales, and collection building, collaborating with private collectors, designers, and art spaces in Iran, the UAE, and Europe.
Through IRIS, she has created a platform that introduces contemporary artists from the region to international audiences, curating exhibitions that span painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video art, and digital art.
Her ongoing curatorial project, Next Chapter, continues this mission, bringing together artists whose works engage with identity, memory, and shared cultural roots.
Sahar Seyedjafar’s practice reflects both intuition and structure a balance between artistic vision and the realities of the art world.
Her approach is rooted in dialogue, trust, and the belief that art can build connections that last beyond exhibitions and borders.
